How Might We — Privacy Policy

What is stored
- Your chosen name, tagline, and badge color.
- Ideas you post, challenges you suggest, and reactions, including refinement notes.
- Safety reports, the post or profile they refer to, and people you block.
- Moderation decisions and the evidence needed to investigate abuse.
Public contributions are stored in Apple's CloudKit public database. Your iCloud account provides an opaque identifier. We do not receive your Apple ID email, password, or real name from Apple. Browsing does not require iCloud. Posting and reacting require iCloud and agreement to the Terms of Use and Community Rules.
Reports, block records, and moderation evidence are accessible only to their creator and/or our moderation team according to their record permissions. Ban and removal markers are readable by the app so it can hide removed contributions; they contain opaque identifiers, not report text, reporter identity, or reasons. Authorized moderators receive safety alerts by email through our email provider to operate the reporting service.
On your device
Saved ideas, followed challenges, accepted terms version/date, cached community posts, and pending uploads are stored locally. Blocks take effect immediately. Reports that cannot be sent remain on the device and retry when iCloud is available. You may email us directly if you need to report something before connecting to iCloud.
Moderation
Use the menu on an idea, community challenge, or refinement note to report it or block its author. Blocking hides that person's contributions immediately and queues a report. Bundled starter ideas are labeled as examples; their attributed authors can also be hidden.
We review received reports within 24 hours, remove objectionable contributions, and suspend abusive accounts. Our basic text filter helps prevent objectionable posts; reports and human review address cases it misses. Reports and moderation records may be retained after deleting your public posts when needed to investigate or prevent abuse. Contact us with privacy or moderation questions.
Deleting your data
In You, choose “Delete everything I've posted” to remove your profile, ideas, suggested challenges, reactions, and block list from the community and this device. Safety reports and moderation records are retained as described above. Deleting contributions does not remove a moderation restriction or cancel a pending safety report.
Tracking
No advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We use Apple CloudKit for storage and an email provider for moderation alerts. We do not sell personal information.
