What Feels Good — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
What Feels Good (“the app”) is made by Sunlit Game Studio LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, which is nothing.
What Feels Good is a private journal for what feels good in your life and what doesn’t. What you write in it is personal by design, so this page is written to be specific rather than reassuring.
The short version
- We collect nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours. We have no way to see anything you write.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party code of any kind.
- Everything stays on your device by default. Deleting the app deletes it.
- iCloud sync, when your device is signed in, goes to your own private iCloud database — between you and Apple, never to us.
What stays on your device
All of it, and only on your device unless your iCloud account carries it further:
- Every entry you write — its title, note, feeling, weight, and health or influence rating.
- How many times you’ve logged an entry again, and when.
- Your settings — whether Face ID/passcode lock is turned on.
iCloud sync
When your device is signed into iCloud, your entries are mirrored to the private database of your own iCloud account, using Apple’s CloudKit. It is governed by your agreement with Apple and by Apple’s privacy policy. We have no access to it, no credentials for it, and no way to read it. We could not hand it over if we were asked to, because we do not have it. If your device is not signed into iCloud, or sync is unavailable, the app simply keeps everything in a local, on-device store instead.
Face ID / passcode lock
If you turn on the app’s lock, unlocking is handled entirely by iOS’s own Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode. We never see your biometric data or your passcode — Apple’s frameworks answer only yes or no.
Export
The app can export everything it holds as a JSON file. That file is written on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet — nothing is uploaded. Where it goes next is entirely your choice, and once you send it somewhere it is covered by whatever you sent it to.
What we do NOT collect
- No names, email addresses, or contact details.
- No location, no photos, no contacts, no health data, no microphone or camera access.
- No device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or crash reports.
- No usage analytics of any kind — we do not know whether you opened the app today.
Purchases and advertising
What Feels Good is free. There are no purchases, no subscriptions, and no advertising in it.
Children
What Feels Good is a general-audience app. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and contains no ads, no purchases and no way to communicate with other people.
Not medical care
What Feels Good is a personal journal, not medical care, therapy, diagnosis, or crisis support, and it does not claim to be. If you are struggling, please talk to someone who can actually help — a doctor, a therapist, or a crisis line where you live.
Your choices and rights
- Delete everything: deleting the app removes what is on the device. If iCloud sync was active, also remove the app’s data from your iCloud account in your Apple settings.
- Take it with you: export everything as JSON, any time, without asking us.
- Laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) and CCPA (California) give you rights to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to hand over or erase. We do not sell personal information, and we never have.
Apple
The app is distributed through the App Store under Apple’s own terms. Any data Apple collects as the distributor, or holds as your iCloud provider, is covered by Apple’s privacy policy, not this one.
Changes
We’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above if this policy changes. If a future version of the app ever collects anything at all, this page will say so before that version ships.
